About History of Fashion II- Ethiopia:
Course Justification In Ethiopia there are more than 81 different cultures and Languages. These different ethnic groups have different dressing styles according to their culture/ tradition, norms and religions. So, this course aims to provide a broad overview on costumes of these different cultures which occurs on different regions and geographic topography’s in Ethiopia. And also aims to peter the students to seek or survey and bring forward unrecognised and not well-known traditional costumes to promote to the world. The other objective of this course is giving a general knowledge on different traditional fabrics, embroidery styles, traditional needle crafts, decorative techniques, stitches and colour combinations.
