The course covers basic theoretical assumptions and conceptual framework with regard to issues surrounding persons with disabilities. It also addresses developmental, psychological, social and learning characteristics across the different disability groups. Special emphasis will be given to how individuals special needs (those with disabilities and impairments as well as gifted) would be able to develop and maximize their talents and potentialities through educational and environmental modifications.
